An Open Letter To My Readers:

Thank you for buying my book, AIM YOUR BRAIN™ at USMLE Step 1.  There hasn’t been much action on the “community support” site (see blog entries below). Either my book is so clearly written that every question that pops into your mind has been answered (unlikely) OR you may not feel comfortable asking questions in public (??? or fill in the blank ________________). Anyway, I have added another help site on twitter.  As you know  you can make up an alternate name with no real identifying locale and . . . send a tweet. I am happy to help. My goal in providing community support/help is to have readers put questions and comments out there so we all can benefit from the answers and assistance. MKM

AIM YOUR BRAIN™ at USMLE Step 1 Book Gratitudes

I just want to thank everyone who has purchased the book and written such wonderful reviews. I wrote the book to help the students I teach and to reach the students I will probably never meet.  I also want to thank the folks at Albert Einstein College of Medicine for ordering books for ~all of their students who will be taking their USMLE Step 1 exams this academic year.  I know what it’s like to face this daunting requirement . . . while feeling every waking minute of your day has already been spoken for.  I hope my AIM YOUR BRAIN™ at USMLE Step 1 book will help you get through it and more. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but please remember to use our community support site http://getsatisfaction.com/ideas2pen_publishing.  To those of you who  purchased your book on amazon.com, please accept my sincere appreciation.  I don’t have a way to thank you individually but I do sincerely thank you and wish you the best. MKM

Underused Support Community???

As more and more of you are getting into studying for USMLE Step 1 . . . I want you to remember we do have a FREE “virtual” support community powered by Get Satisfaction.  The link to our AIM YOUR BRAIN® Support Community is http://getsatisfaction.com/ideas2pen_publishing. What you will find is a place to:

  1. Ask questions
  2. Share ideas
  3. Report a problem
  4. Share praise
  5. Add a “mood” icon

The best part is being able to interact with each other and me in a supportive space. If you are so inclined, stop by and give us a try.

Bots Rule!

You know you’ve made it when a bot finds you. 😉 Thanks to “ThaBookie” for the indirect recognition. To answer the question, I have not read the 2009 edition, but I have spent alot of time with the previous editons of First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 while helping my students. It is a great series!

Testing 1-2-3 . . . Testing 1-2-3

I’ve spend the majority of my morning setting up the new blog on WordPress and trying to get things out on the web. I am sending out this blog to see if it will end up on my Amazon Author Connect page via RSS feed. Of course, I won’t know if I have succeeded or not until ~ 24 hours from now (according to Amazon). I’m sure glad I’m not in a hurry 😉
